Village homestays are a new form of tourism in Ganzi Zhou which offer great potential to increase income for ordinary Tibetan families. However, homestay hotels cannot easily be opened by any but the richest families due to the large initial investment required. The purpose of this RFA is to help a village organize homestay tourism in a way that is synergistic with other tourism development projects and spreads tourism benefits to all members of the community.
